I was a big SHEPHARD FAIREY fan a while back. Now he sucks. The man has been selling out slowly but surely, and now I'm fed up. His images have gotten more and more boring. They used to be so visually engaging and send such a cool message. Now they're just predictable and reek of money in Fairey's bank account.... Read the article below which pretty much cements my disdain for this once inspiring street artist turned sellout bitch. Apparently he's "preemptively suing the AP" for stealing his Obama Hope image because they're in the process of suing him for using their photo of Obama as the inspiration for the iconic Hope stencil. He also pled not guilty to the graffiti charges levied on him after he was arrested in Boston not too long ago for throwin' up some stencil. Just not the kind of mentality one would expect from a street artist. His mantra should sounds more like -Fuck corporate America and fuck yeah I'm taking ownership for my art- but sadly...
