We're on a summer tip here at LAFS. Mix it up this season by keeping your now erstwhile flip-flops in the closet and instead sporting a pair of espadrilles. These unisex shoes that date way back in Spanish lore are lightweight, comfortable, surprisingly durable, and (best of all) cheap.
I've notice that espadrilles have begun to proliferate in stores across the states. In the past I ordered from this website when these shoes were difficult to find. Though they're based in Spain, they had some great options and offered me very reasonable shipping fees to New York—I'm not certain that this is still the case. In any event, you should be able to find a pair near you.
