so. in about 7th grade i was introduced to this band. operation ivy. they lasted only about two years at the most and put out only one album. this one album was one of such grit and power, of passion even you could say. of raw emotion feeling and a message of unity and harmony and peace. punk ska reggae pop hardcore. whatever you want to label them is what they are. they have influenced so many bands. anyways enough rambling. just get yourself familiar with this band. they are a staple. an essential to any music lovers collection or you all should just know that they exist.
the band consists of two members from what is now Rancid and i think Tim Armstrongs influence in the band can be seen clearly and his vocals are quite recognizable. most songs barely get to 2 minutes. just little nuggets of energy. listen and enjoy
